Two Spokane Waste-to-Energy Plant Workers Severely Burned


Two workers performing maintenance on a boiler at the Spokane Waste-to-Energy plant were seriously burned by steam and are in critical condition at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.  The plant has had an excellent safety track record to this point, as recognized by its WISHA Voluntary Protection Program STAR designation and the absence of a lost-time injury for the past four-and-a-half years.
