New Study on ALS and Occupational Exposures

A number of different associations have been found between occupational exposures and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disase) in epidemiology studies.  The newly released study did find a positive association with extremely low frequency magnetic fields, but did not find an association with a number of previously suspected chemical agents (e.g. solvents, pesticides, metals).
